Once completed, this system will provide direct connections to Singapore and the mainland United States, further diversifying Palau's international connectivity . The project is supported by a trilateral partnership involving the United States, Australia, and Japan, aiming to improve digital infrastructure, internet reliability, and access to government services in Palau .
Currently, there is no submarine cable linking Palau directly to Russia. Palau's international internet traffic is routed through Guam, Singapore, and the United States via the SEA-US and Echo systems. Any connection to Russia would require additional regional or transcontinental submarine cable infrastructure, which is not part of Palau's existing or planned projects .
