How to calculate the distance of cable trays

Horizontal and Vertical Spacing

  • Horizontal run: Multiply the vertical rise by the cotangent of the bend angle to determine the floor space consumed by the offset . These calculations ensure that the tray segments align correctly in three-dimensional space, preventing misalignment and material waste.

  2. Check manufacturer specifications for tray width, depth, and load capacity to ensure proper spacing and support .
  3. Allow extra space for future expansion and maintenance access, especially in high-density installations .
