Step 1: Mount the Fiber Optic Sensor

Begin by securely mounting the fiber optic sensor head close to the target object. The fiber unit contains no electrical components, making it resistant to environmental noise and suitable for narrow or harsh locations. Use the supplied mounting hardware, such as nuts, O-rings, and circlips, to fix the fiber in place without bending or stressing the cable . Ensure the fiber is routed safely to the amplifier unit, which can be installed in a protected location.

Step 6: Test and Fine-Tune

After installation, test the sensor by moving the target into and out of the sensing area. Adjust the fiber head angle, distance, or amplifier settings as needed to ensure consistent detection. Verify that the sensor responds correctly to the target while ignoring the background or other nearby objects.
